Scope and the ABA International network

This policy applies to websites, applications, forms, registrations, fan programs, events, digital broadcasts, stores and other services that link to it and are operated for the ABA International network.

For this policy, the “ABA International network” may include the central ABA International platform, ABA National League, ABA USA-connected international activity, ABA México, WABA International, JR ABA International, ABA Cares, sports-agency and media programs, approved country or regional operators, participating teams and authorized service providers.

Individual franchises, clubs, arenas, agencies and regional operators may run separate systems and may be independently responsible for information they collect. Their own notices may also apply.

Information we collect

Depending on the service and your relationship with the network, we may collect:

• Identity and contact data: name, email, telephone, address, country, language, age or date of birth and emergency contact.
• Account and preference data: login credentials, favorite leagues or teams, communication choices and account activity.
• Applications and professional data: ownership inquiries, employment history, coaching qualifications, playing history, measurements, position, statistics, film, eligibility, passport or visa status, contract or representation status and references.
• Youth-program data: participant age, guardian details, permissions, medical or accessibility information necessary for safe participation and approved media releases.
• Transaction data: orders, tickets, subscriptions, sponsorship or registration records. Full payment-card data should be processed by authorized payment providers rather than stored directly by the platform.
• Event and media data: credentials, attendance, photographs, video, audio, interviews, game footage and content voluntarily submitted to the platform.
• Technical data: IP address, browser, device, approximate location, referring page, pages viewed, interactions, errors and cookie or analytics identifiers.
• Communications: messages, support requests, surveys, complaints, consent records and other information you choose to provide.

How information is used

Information may be used to operate and improve the network; respond to inquiries; register fans, players, coaches, owners, vendors and partners; administer competitions and events; verify eligibility and credentials; process authorized transactions; personalize content; deliver schedules, scores and communications; provide security and fraud prevention; comply with law; and enforce contracts and policies.

Player or applicant data may also be used for approved scouting, team operations, transfer or free-agency processes, sports-agency screening and international placement discussions. No listing, profile or application guarantees selection, employment, representation, immigration approval, salary or a professional contract.

Marketing messages are sent according to consent and applicable law. Operational communications—such as safety, event, transaction or account notices—may still be sent when necessary.

How information is shared

Information may be shared only as reasonably necessary with authorized ABA leagues, regional operators, participating teams, event organizers, scouts, agency personnel and service providers supporting hosting, communications, payments, analytics, security, ticketing, travel or customer care.

Player files are not intended to be public by default. Access should be limited to approved basketball decision-makers and controlled by the player’s instructions, contractual permissions and legitimate operational needs.

Information may also be disclosed with consent, to complete a requested transaction, during a legitimate organizational transaction, to comply with valid legal process, to protect safety or rights, or to investigate fraud and policy violations. The network does not promise to sell personal data. If future advertising practices legally constitute a “sale” or “sharing,” required notices and opt-out controls must be provided before that activity begins.

Players, teams, owners and applicants

Professional and league operations require information beyond ordinary fan data. Players, coaches, officials, staff, owners and franchise applicants must provide information that is accurate, current and authorized for submission.

Teams and market operators may not download, republish, sell or use player information outside approved basketball purposes. Separate representation, employment, participation, medical, travel and media-release agreements may apply.

Youth participants and parents

JR ABA, camps, clinics, academies and community programs must use age-appropriate privacy and safeguarding practices. Personal information for a minor should be submitted by, or with verifiable authorization from, a parent or legal guardian.

The general fan platform is not designed to knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Youth registrations should collect only what is necessary for safety, eligibility and program delivery. Public youth profiles, precise locations, direct contact details and medical information must not be published.

Photographs, video, livestream appearances, travel and promotional use involving minors require the permissions and releases required by the participant’s age and local law. A guardian may request review or removal of youth information, subject to legal and safeguarding record obligations.

International markets and data transfers

The network is designed for activity in the United States, México, Canada, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific. Information may therefore be processed in a country other than the one where it was collected.

The responsible operator must use appropriate contracts, security measures and transfer safeguards required by the applicable jurisdiction. Country or regional supplements may provide additional information or rights. Market operators may not transfer central-network data into unapproved systems or use it for an unrelated local business.

If a conflict exists, mandatory local privacy, consumer, labor, youth-protection or publicity law controls. A local team’s separate notice does not reduce the protections promised by this policy.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the nature of the relationship, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent or an explanation of certain processing. You may also opt out of promotional email using the unsubscribe link in the message.

Submit a request through the official inquiry form and choose “Privacy rights request / data request.” We may need to verify identity and authority before acting. An authorized representative may be required to provide proof of authorization. Some information may be retained when required for safety, contracts, disputes, financial records or law.

Users will not be denied ordinary service solely for exercising a legally protected privacy right, although deleting necessary information may make a requested account or program impossible to provide.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

The platform may use essential cookies for security, navigation and preferences, plus analytics tools to understand traffic and improve performance. Advertising or cross-site tracking technologies must not be activated without the notices, consent choices and opt-out mechanisms required in the user’s location.

Browser settings may block or delete cookies, but some features may not function correctly. Before commercial launch, the site should publish a cookie inventory and deploy a consent manager appropriate for its active markets.

Security and retention

The network uses reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Suspected unauthorized access should be reported promptly.

Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the service, competition records, contracts, safety, legal compliance, disputes and legitimate operations. Retention periods vary: a fan inquiry may be short-lived, while eligibility, financial, safeguarding, rights-clearance and historical competition records may need longer retention.

ABA names, logos, uniforms and brand rights

ABA International names, league and program names, logos, emblems, designs, uniforms, trade dress, slogans, graphics and official team identities displayed on the platform are owned by, licensed to, controlled by or used under authority of their respective rights holders.

Viewing or downloading an asset does not grant a license. Written authorization is required for commercial use, merchandise, advertising, sponsorship, franchise promotion, social-media branding, domain names, team launches, broadcasts, events or any use that may imply official ABA approval.

Approved teams and market operators may use ABA marks only within the territory, term, media, quality standards and purposes stated in their signed license, franchise, market or operating agreement. No operator may sublicense, alter, recolor, combine, register or claim ownership of an ABA mark without written authority.

Historical team names and marks, third-party photographs, league archives and other legacy materials may have separate owners or restrictions. Their appearance on this platform does not represent a blanket authorization for others to reuse them.

Player names, images, likenesses and endorsements

A player’s name, nickname, signature, voice, photograph, portrait, biography, jersey number and identifiable likeness are protected interests and may also be subject to player, team, league, photographer, broadcaster, union or sponsor agreements.

Participation in an ABA event does not automatically give fans, sponsors, teams or third parties unrestricted commercial rights to a player. Official use must be supported by a player agreement, team agreement, credential, event release, media release, collective arrangement or another valid legal basis.

No person may use a player’s attributes to suggest an endorsement, testimonial, sponsorship or product affiliation without written authorization from the player and any other required rights holder. Editorial reporting and lawful commentary remain subject to applicable law, accreditation rules and source rights.

Games, broadcasts, scores, statistics and credentials

Official game video, livestreams, replays, audio, commentary, photographs, highlights, graphics, schedules, scores, statistics, data feeds and production elements may be protected content. Recording, restreaming, clipping, scraping, republishing, selling or commercially exploiting that content requires permission unless a written credential or license expressly allows it.

Media credentials provide limited access—not ownership. Credentialed media must follow venue, player-access, embargo, sponsor, safety and content-use rules. Official scores or schedules may be referenced factually, but official feeds, visual designs, databases and real-time commercial uses may require a separate data or media agreement.

Fan photos, posts and other submissions

Users may eventually upload photos, videos, comments and team content. The person submitting content keeps any ownership they already hold, but grants the ABA International network a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, display, distribute and promote the submission through approved ABA channels for platform, editorial and promotional purposes.

By submitting content, the user confirms they have the necessary copyright, privacy, publicity and guardian permissions; the content is accurate where it states facts; and it does not infringe rights, expose confidential information or contain unlawful, abusive or unsafe material.

Content may be moderated, declined or removed. A removal request will be considered, but removal may not be possible from completed broadcasts, printed material, legal records or third-party reposts outside ABA control. Content featuring minors requires documented guardian permission.

Permissions, licensing and infringement notices

For brand licensing, footage, photography, statistics, sponsorship integrations, merchandise, historical marks or player-likeness requests, use the official inquiry form and select “Brand licensing / content permission.” No permission exists until an authorized representative provides it in writing.

A copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity-rights notice should identify the claimant, the protected work or right, the exact location of the challenged material, the requested action, supporting authority, contact information and a good-faith statement that the notice is accurate. Select “Copyright / trademark / likeness notice” in the inquiry form.

ABA International may preserve evidence, restrict access, remove material, request more information or refer a dispute to the relevant team, market operator, platform or rights holder.

Terms, third parties, updates and contact

External stores, ticketing providers, social networks, streaming platforms, payment processors, teams and partner sites operate under their own terms and privacy notices. ABA International is not responsible for an independent service’s practices merely because the platform links to it.

Use of the site is for lawful personal, informational and authorized business purposes. Users may not interfere with security, impersonate another person, scrape protected databases, misuse credentials, publish unlawful content or imply an unauthorized ABA relationship. More specific ticket, store, subscription, contest, accreditation, franchise, employment, agency or event terms may also apply.

This policy may be updated as the network, technology, laws and markets develop. The revised date will be posted above. Material changes should receive additional notice when required.
